Using Strip Lighting In Kitchens
Here are two new projects that use colour changing LED strip lights to create great looking kitchen spaces.
Lee used RGBW (colour changing) LED strips to transform a flat lighting scheme into a striking high-concept design.
Each LED on InStyle’s 20-watt RGBW strip lights houses four LED chips of different colours (RGBW stands for ‘red, green, blue, white’). This setup offers excellent colour control, letting you mix any shade of the spectrum by adjusting red, green and blue levels… while also giving the option of a perfect white light from dedicated white LEDs.
Installing a combination of over- and under-cabinet strip lights and plinth LED lights, Lee split the new LEDs across two zones (enabling different colours for cabinet lights and plinth lights) to produce this impressively contemporary working space.
For her kitchen refit, Helen used 14m of InStyle’s RGBW LED tape (our ‘warm white’ version). Like Lee, she chose to split the strip lights across two zones – managed by a pair of Multichannel Wireless LED Receivers and a RGB Wireless Wall Controller. 4-zone RGBW touch-panel controller. Power is supplied by two LED Tape Transformers (1 x 100w and 1 x 200w).
